The Importance of Cross Cultural Understanding

Why do we need to learn about Cross-Cultural Understanding? This is my opinion:

We realize that every culture has its uniqueness of each. But it is often mutually contradictory. In one particular cultural attitude is acceptable, but not in other cultures.
I feel the importance of cross-cultural understanding so that those differences do not result in problems or misunderstandings for both parties involved. In many cases, cultural conflict can be found in various places in Indonesia that has a lot of culture. Therefore, anyone, and especially the students need to learn about cross-cultural understanding so that they can understand the cultural differences as an opportunity to enrich the culture and arts of human life.
I agree about cross-cultural coaching, because I think it is a starting point to know each other, not just visible to the eye, but the whole of one's personal, that's different cultural backgrounds. The introduction of the culture of each ethnic group in Indonesia by an Indonesian citizen is important. Because, multiculturalism is the inherent feature of Indonesia. And as the nation's assets have been able to become a force to unite our nation in a nation state with a form of unity.
But an understanding of our national culture is still very limited. Therefore, it is necessary to start early introduction to all citizens of the nation in order to understand the cultural diversity of the nation will realize that each has a meaning in life. Knowledge about this very important, if I were the perpetrators are confronted with the reality as social beings rather than just individual creatures. If I'm not careful, my understanding as human beings to other human beings of different cultures will certainly cause problems.
I believe that all cultures are good, just how we put it. If all this goes well, it will enrich the understanding of each other, not judge "my culture is the best". In the end, it will raise awareness of community life of mutual respect, understanding and cooperation.
